In the past year, Code Atom has been reborn under 2 truths, play from your heart, and hold nothing back. Blending styles that range from breathtaking beauty to bone-jarring intensity, they have forged a live show that has been described as intense, powerful, and fierce. With diverse influences including Sevendust, Tool, deftones, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Alice in Chains, A Perfect Circle, Korn, Radiohead, and Snot to name a few, Code Atom have created a sound that is as eclectic as it is accessible. Spending the last year writing and honing their craft has left them with material for their second release and first full length album, known as At the Edge of Reason, slated for an October 2005 release. Written entirely by Code Atom and co-produced and recorded with Mark Teems of Teemstar Studios, this album captures the purity of their music, and conveys the pure power that they attack their stage show with. In fact they are gearing up to take on all venues, that are willing to accept the consequences, to promote the album in what remains of 05, and in 2006. The future lays before Code Atom as a road with many paths, but with the same dedication they have held to this point, they promise to follow a path that crosses yours soon.
Why this name?
we actually got our band name from our song, Code Atom. It's a synthesis of two ideas. The best way to show what we mean is to check out these links:

Do you play live?
Playing live is the reson we do this. I don't know of any other reason that's more rewarding. The most amazing moment we have had to date would be the last time we played at Sweetwater Live. The crowd met us at the stage and during 'Code Atom' and 'Say The Word' they were actually singing along so loudly that I could hear them over myself, the PA AND my in-ear monitors. I will never forget that moment.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Now people don't just have to listen to the radio or go to their favorite cd store to get good music. They can just get on the internet and find it. This does make earning a living a little harder on us musicians but it also shifts the focus back to the music and playing music for the sake of the art.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Sure. With a large company's resources they can reach more people faster than we could ever hope to.
Your influences?
Sevendust, Snot, A Perfect Circle, Tool, Lost Prophets, Armor For Sleep, Stone Temple Piolots, Rage Against The Machine.
