I'm back! Fresh out the booth workin on my new mixtape, I hope to have some fruits of that labor posted up here very soon, and with luck I'll have everything wrapped up just in time for the holidays! Check back soon for more updates and a tracklist!

Updates for 7/7/07

So, as you know by now, the mixtape got pushed back, which means the album got pushed back. For the album, I'm shooting for winter (late '07/early '08), and a mixtape in the fall. I'll keep you posted, and try to post some new work up here soon. Thanks to those of you stickin with me. It's been a long road, but it's all gonna be worth it.

Do you play live?

Not too many live performances yet, but give it some time, I'll be there ... catch me down in Williamsburg & Richmond doin my thing!

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?

Negative effect because of the mass burning of CDs from guys who work their asses off to make an album, but positive in other ways like giving people like me exposure.

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

If the timing was right and I heart was in it, definately. If my heart wasn't 100% in it, I wouldn't waste my audience or the label's time. Ideally, I'll sign myself.

Your influences?

People say I got a lil' of everything in me. Most popular reaction is Common, but I've heard Quan (Nas's boy), Rosco P. Coldchain (??), Jadakiss, Fabolous, Lloyd Banks ... the last three are some that I like. I try not to let what I listen to influence my music, but I do listen to the aforementioned artists (except Rosco) along with Royce, Obie, styles, Swifty, Em, Proof, Game, Kanye, Mr. Millz & Mr. Writer, basically whoever I'm feelin at the time. But I'm not really a gangsta-gansta shoot 'em up rapper. I'm more of a storyteller, reality-rap, life story rapper. I rap about what I know, what I see, and what I dream, I keeps it real!

Favorite spot?

Favorite spot's gotta be behind the mic in the studio. It's a great feeling to be speaking to the people, delivering your message to whoever's ears you can, it's like until you run out of breath or time, you've got time to tell the world exactly what's on your mind and what you want them to hear; and I do just that.

Equipment used:

Along with rap, I produce on the side, producing songs such as "Get Down!," "Just Like That," "Who Am I?", "I Got U," and more. I use only my computer so far, started with HipHopStarz (actually a decent program to start with) and then Acid Pro. I haven't gotten into Fruity Loops yet.

Anything else...?

ESTABLISHED DONS! Workin on a some more stuff so hopefully it'll get to you soon. I've got 2 mixtapes coming out, I'm producing (song-writing and beat-making) 2 other mixtapes, and there should be one more out by mid-August. Holla!
