Hurt Like That
Favourite Slave is a blend of 80's, industrial, gothic and electro sound. um... I suppose one just has to hear it...
Why this name?
It comes from a line in Depeche Mode's 'In your room'. DM is one of the bands influences.
Do you play live?
Live acts have slowed since material needs demanded more time spent at work instead of doing things we'd like to do. We hope to start playing live around JHB and Pretoria in 2004
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
More world wide exposure made easy. Financially it has had no effect on us so far cos we do it for fun, not profit. We think its a good thing if controlled.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes, if only S.A. had a market for our style.
Band History:
Favourite Slave started in 2002 when the two Phillips brothers, Malcolm and Bronson, joined musical forces to create a blend of melodic 80's and hard industrial. It currently consists of just the two members.
Your influences?
Assemblage 23, Hocico, Depeche Mode, Nine inch nails, Skinny puppy, basically a range of gothic, and industrial stuff too...
Favorite spot?
Where ever we happen to be on stage
Equipment used:
Dinosaur stuff: Fruity loops 4, Coolpro, couple of analog instruments, whatever we can get our hands on. Still looking for equipment.

We are keen to have all genre of people enjoy our stuff. We do it cos we like to. anything goes as long as its fun. Hope you like it...
