Dowser formed in 2001 in Charleston, South Carolina. Their sound can best be described as muscular Helmet style riffing interspersed with the more introspective songwriting of bands like the Deftones and Radiohead. That said the band remains singular in its approach, sound, and style- choosing not to wear these respective influences on their sleeve but forging ahead to create their own brand of evocative and jarring music.
