Adoral.
Why this name?
Adoral means mutual love, mutual between the audience and us. We're on the same level as our audience, we aren't here to be idolized. If they feel it, they're in Adoral as much as we are.
Do you play live?
We've been doing mainly small venues, clubs and such. Next summer we do some festivals, the bigger the venue, the better.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It haven't done so much yet, but it will. The power of majors, or industry in general, is diminishing, which is good.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Maybe, if the terms would be right, ie. leave us the artistic freedom. We want to reach as many people as possible, so, maybe... We'd like to see us breaking through in some other way, though.
Band History:
Adoral was formed in 1997. The present line-up has been together from August 2001, when Niko, the lead guitarist, joined.
Your influences?
Stone Roses, Manic Street Preachers, The Jesus And Mary Chain, Primal Scream, Mogwai, Public Enemy, Clash... There's so many of them, mainly bands that have had something to say, and have done that in their own distinguishable way.
That's why you maybe can't hear the influences, but they're there, in the attitude. We're just doing our thing.
