Fractured Halo is a family project that was created by Gabriel Lopez (Vocals and Guitars) and Michael Lopez (Drums), with occasional contributions from Robert Lopez (Bass).
Why this name?
We just felt that the name sounded interesting and it made sense considering that two of us share our names with angels, but we are not a religious band (not that it should matter, but some people are weird like that).
Do you play live?
As of right now, there are no shows planned. We are mainly focusing on writing material.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It allows people to decide what they like instead of being forced to let radio and television tell them what they like. It also allows the artist to spread their work over great distances in a short amount of time.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
With the way that major labels work, I would find it highly unlikely, unless they gave us more control over our music than most bands will ever see.
Your influences?
Influences include, but are not limited to: Black Label Society, Dream Theater, Metallica, Megadeth, Nevermore, Opeth, Ozzy, Pain of Salvation, and Symphony X.
