Born in Adak, Alaska. Being half-black and Filipino, Kartunes life is mixed up, just like the way he is. Growing up in California in the city of Montclair Kartunes goal is not only to become the best, but try to bring exposure for his hometowm musicians from rock to rap. Being known as the "class nerd" in his elementary and middle school, Kartunes approach to rap, is more than rapping about guns and jewelry. Being different and inspiring minds is what Kartunes wants to be known for, with his ability to tell a story and unique style and voice. Also as a producer, Kartunes brings his own sound to the table, putting together instruments not many producers dare to use. At the age of 20, Kartunes recently just renamed his production/label company from RageRap to KrazeTunes, because this allowed other genres to join and help form the best music overall underground label.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet helps many underground artists recieve exposure, attracting indie or major record deals. With peer to peer downloading sites such as Kazaa and Morpheus, this only help create better music overall, instead of the crap we hear on radio every single day.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
If the contract is right I will. I dont want to be forced to be someone I'm not, this is who I am and I won't change. Period.

Music influences: Tupac, Redman, Eminem, Busta Rhymes, Lauryn Hill, The Beatles, Dr. Dre, Timberland, The Beatnuts, Neptunes, theres so many to list! I listen to many genres of music.
