Sunfinger is a collaboration between 2 artists, Pete Poulin & Jeff Reilly. Influences include the Beatles, Pink Floyd, Radiohead, Rush, U2.
Why this name?
The name was inspired by a chance meeting of two refrigerator magnets.
Do you play live?
We now live 2600 miles apart, so playing live is restricted to solo appearances in our respective living rooms.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet has given unsigned artists an outlet to the world to share their music. File sharing software has cut into record label profits, but we believe they will eventually be removed from the process anyway.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes, but wouldn't aggressively pursue it.
Band History:
Pete met Jeff in 8th grade, jammed a bit, went their separate ways until they reunited after highschool. Pete bought a 4-track an they started creating. After graduating to a digital 8-track recorder, they unsucessfully tried to round out the group several times.
