This guy, who some refer to as Jake, stumbled around for years collecting data in his cranium. He occasionally stopped to wiggle his fingers and regurgitate the data fragments (in no particular order). He made friends along the way who also wiggled their fingers or had a similar collection of data. They would infrequently gather to lubricate and spew forth kernels of existence. Over time these gatherings were documented, somewhat haphazardly, on Jake’s Dirt Farm.
Why this name?
Nothing is ever complete and a good farm is like a continuous cycle of turning over the same old soil with different results.
Do you play live?
Yes, as I am live.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It bypasses corporate farming and prefabricated packaging.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Some things are best left the way they are.
Your influences?
Rosewood and glowing vacuum tubes. Williams to Strummer; Prine to Young.
Favorite spot?
Anywhere thinking isn't required and there is an ample supply of lubrication.
