I perform a range of Contemporary Christian Music, from Alternative to Rock, Folk, and Pop. My hope is that the songs will encourage people to look within themselves and examine their lives and their relationship with God, and in doing so move them closer to Jesus Christ.
Why this name?
Mom and Dad. They took care of that for me.
Do you play live?
Just at church where I'm the worship leader.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
By making it easier for artists to spread their message through music, and making access easier for fans.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Oh, certainly, if that were ever to come about.
Band History:
Not much history. I've been songwriting for years, but never had recording equipment to lay it down until now. We'll see how it goes.
Your influences?
Well, I love Jars of Clay, U2, Solas, Lunasa, Switchfoot, Sinead O'Connor, Sarah MacLachlan, Third Day, Newsboys, FFH, Nichole Nordeman, Audio Adrenaline, David Arkenstone, Moby, Coldplay, Dido, and others. I also like the stylings of Nirvana, Alanis Morisette, Nickelback, Lenny Kravitz, and Puddle of Mudd, but find the crassness of some of their work too much to be able to listen to on a regular basis.
Favorite spot?
Anywhere with my wife, or with the kids, in my studio, or at the Book and CD store.
Equipment used:
Everything is recorded on a Korg D1200mkII using the following: Roland Fantom S88 with SRX09 World Expansion, Ibanez Talman solid body electric, Yamaha RBX775 Bass, Shure SM57, Studio Projects C1, run through an ART TPS II 2 channel preamp and an Alesis 3630 2 channel compressor, limiter, gate. I also have the use of an Emu Proteus 2500 that I submix with the Fantom through a Behringer Eurorack UB802.
Anything else...?
I hope you enjoy the various stylings here. Thanks for checking it out!
