Allows the Artist to make the decisions where content and promotion are concerned. Not some big corporate entity.

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

If I were approached by a record company that was interested in signing me ? Probably..But I'm doubtful that'll happen anytime soon with the state of the industry the way it is these days.
