Beatz Store
which beat do you want?

Why this name?
I chose Beatz for Dayz because I can produce beats for days!!
Do you play live?
I did when I was younger. I played the piano at my church every Sunday. I really enjoyed it. Because of my schedule now, I don’t have the time to play live, but I miss it. Maybe one day I can enjoy the feeling of playing live in front of a group again. Once at church a group of us musicians were playing around. It turned into an impromptu jam session.
It was sporadic and unintended. We just meshed together. We sounded great. The energy in the room was unbelievable. The unity of the players and instruments was something I will never forget.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Well, it has definitely widened the audience who listens to music. There is now more access to different genera’s of music. Before this technology, you were at the mercy of whoever the DJ on the radio was. If the radio station was country, you had to listen to country. If the radio station was soul, you had to listen to soul. Nowadays we can listen to what we want when we want. We have access to all types of music depending just by clicking a mouse. We can listen to the same music while we walk, ride, run without being dragged down by some big bulky item. We don’t have to stop doing what we were doing to turn the cassette tape around to hear the other side of the album. People who are trying to break into the industry have a better chance of their music being heard too. I can post samples of my music on my website and other social networks and when someone hears something they like, they can immediately contact me and we can start and complete a transaction in a few minutes. That’s when Paypal or Western Union comes in handy!!
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Honestly, no I would not. Major labels be trying to change the artists into something that they don't want to be and next thing you know, they start losing the skills they had. I'd rather go independent.
