King Beatz has been in the music production industry since 2005. Creating sounds from Hip-Hop, Soul, Neo-Soul, Rap, Dub-Hop and Pop. Having the abilities to create fresh sounds for your ears, whether it be an Original track, Sampled track or a combination of both. Receiving music credits such artist as: Nailz, Dave Beano aka Ra Hotep, Hip-Hop Group Da' Family, Joe Cain and Virginia's upcoming artist Rakeeb, J-Willz, L-Train, and Dbatt da Great.

Why this name?

The name "King Beats" derived from one of my alias artist names "King Tut", so therefore I used the name "King Beats". I've also have gone by other production names: Kill-A-Beat Productions (2004-2005) and Dee n' Jay Productions; which at the time my brother and I were a production team.

Do you play live?

I actually haven't had the opportunity to play live, in beat battles to give an example. But I have performed before in a club in the Midwest Region.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?

I believe the internet actually opened the market up for Artist whom maybe mainstream, underground or novice talent, to be able to showcase their talents to the whole world so they may expand. But it does have it's pros and cons, but definately gives the artist more control over his or her own music.

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

I would, only if I get to own my own masters, have COMPLETE creative control and rights and trademarks.

Your influences?

9th Wonder, Home town favorite JDilla, DJ Premiere, Pete Rock, Dr. Dre, Black Milk just to name a few.

Favorite spot?

DETROIT CITYYYYY!! LOL I love my city!
