We're just a Long Island NY band playing rap metal, funk metal, and alternative metal. Our history is neither exciting or important, so theres no real need to waste any time on it.

Why this name?

I have no idea. I think it had something to do with "green" as in "fresh/different" but probably was also a loose reference to marijuana at the time. It was short, simple and just kinda stuck.

Do you play live?

We are all from Long Island, NY. We all pretty much like it here.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?

Digital music has changed the industry so much in that it adds a potential for whole new global demographic to be exposed to your music. Thats pretty cool.

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

Im not sure. Maybe. Everyone has their number, ours is pretty high. Think of what it is, then add a one and two zeros...

Band History:

Verde started out over 15 years ago, and the basic concept still applies, even after this 9 year hiatus... Write interesting stuff, and have fun doing it. Thats it. Pretty simple.

Your influences?

A lot of classic rock and metal obviously, but also old school rap and funk.

Favorite spot?

It varies. Some of us like the city and clubs... some of us just generally dont like being around people.
