Why this name?
To be honest, it was something that I used a few years ago in the Gemini Urban Games DJ comp. I didn't have a name at the time, so Hectic was the first thing I thought of. I've just kept it ever since.
Do you play live?
DJing in clubs and bars, having played on the same bill with Fallacy and Fusion, DJ MK and Yogi and Baby J to name but a few.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It allows unsigned talent, like myself, to get their music listened to all around the world and gain exposure for their efforts.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
It depends on the terms. The deal has got to be right. I would do it if everything was sorted.
Your influences?
DJ Premier, Kanye West, Hi-Tech, Timbaland, RJD2, DJ Shadow, Madlib, The Prodigy, Orbital.
Favorite spot?
New York or London.
