Why this name?
Because of it's absurdity and lack of meaning in a musical context.
Do you play live?
Have yet to play live, though it is not out of the question.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet is making it much easier to find music which is chewable.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Hell yeah, if a major label were willing to come anywhere near my stenchy sound I would jump a board if they gave me creative control.
Band History:
Due to an increasingly busy schedule, and an increasing amount of disposable income, Masitcator was created. With less time to perform with Masticators other bands and more money to buy software and computer upgrades, a solo electronic project was the only option if sanity was to be retained.
Your influences?
Everything from Boredoms to Front 242 to Bad Brains to Mr. Bungle to Autechre to Negativland to Funkadelic.
Favorite spot?
Behind Plaid Pantry.
Equipment used:
A computer, a cheap microphone, cheap software, and free wavs.
Anything else...?
Beware of Masticator!
