To make a long story short, the founders, T-17 Virus and Dub-Droid, were out in the wilderness camping, when we came across a dog's chew toy. We kicked the banana toy a few miles back to our camp site, and the decided to throw it onto the embers of our camp fire... Well, when it started melting, it was branching off like an octopus (with eight "legs") and we both looked at it, and said "look at the banoctopus." The name just sort of stuck from there on...

The internet and mp3 format pushes the availability of the music to the maximum. People are able to hear what they want when they want to, and thanks to the WWW, a fan can buy anything they want, 24 hours a day.

That depends... Probably not for Banoctopus, but the Virus and myself have several other side projects slated for the future, and those I wouldn't mind having on a major label.

2 computers (1 laptop), an acoustic drumset, and 3 keyboards... for the time being....
