LOOK US UP ON MYSPACE.COM if you also have an account there. We are a Niagara University based band. Keep an eye out for us in the Niagara/Buffalo area. Most songs are just guitar/lyrics, with full versions being live from gigs.
Why this name?
We were originally going to go with "Cynder", but the band name was taken so we chose "October Rising". The band was formed at the end of September 2003, but we started writing songs and practicing in October. We tossed a few names around and this is what came up.
Do you play live?
Yes, we play live at Niagara University and anywhere in the NF/Buffalo area that will take us. We do enjoy it, and each gig has its moments.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It's for the better.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I think it's safe to say we would.
Band History:
In September 2003 Tom Kula and Dave Bialas joined up with Tim Sylvester. The first 9 songs were written before March 2004 when Lonnie Reaves joined the band. Since then we've worked on more songs, refined them, and have been getting more gigs. We'll see what '05 brings us.
