There are five of us. We live in montana. If you have never been Montana , you should definately visit.
We all play our respective instruments (guitar, bass, keyboards/piano, violin, and drums), but occasionally we will switch around from song to song.

Why this name?
Its a secret code for a certain...problem a small group of people have with their hair.
Do you play live?
Yes we play live, and love it. It's why we play. We do a local and regional shows, but prefer to tour. We have played shows all around the West Coast and the Midwest. This summer, a tour on the east is coming along with more west coast shows.
As far as special moments, there isn't really one specific one. Some nights we all really connect, and it's amazing. Everybody else disappears. Those all are the special moments.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It makes peoples favorite music more available to them, but also allows them to test out new music. This definately allows for smaller bands and lables to get their stuff out to a bunch of people who may have never heard of them. It levels the playing field, so even your neighbors garage band can release a record if they want. The music industry shouldn't be scared. VHS and Beta were supposed to cripple the movie theaters, it didn't happen. It's just a new avenue to get your media.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
It guess all depends on the contract, but if given a choice between Indie contract A, and Major contract B. the Indie would most likely win out. We don't want to be rockstars, we just want as many people as possible to be able to hear our music. Small labels have a heart and soul about them. It's all about the music.
Band History:
So far within the life span of a year the1090 Club have been featured on two comps, released a split six song CD with Portland band thebrotheregg, toured the Mid-West, and Northwest a few times, and also released a 7inch with The Front from Wyoming. In February, we have a full length split coming out with Peoria Illinois' The Forecast.
Your influences?
We all have a wide range of musical influences ranging from classical to death metal, noise to indie. Currently we are listening to: Cursive, Mew, Converge, Treepeople, Minus the Bear, Death Cab Cutie. There are really tons of influences. We were lucky to have been exposed to a lot of different music growing up.
Favorite spot?
We haven't been to them all yet. How could we possibly know yet?
