Well, I was writing really depressing songs and thats weird cause im pretty happy so, one night my friend was in her room and turned around and saw her turned off computer screen and thought "Patch of Black" and so she called me and thats it

I haven't played live except for my mom and my girlfriend. I would love to if anyone wants to book me

I think the internet is the power source for unsigned and indie bands. I mean my music is getting out to people that i couldn't even have a chance to get to without the internet

I think record contracts are tricky. I mean being able to do this and only this for a living would be great, but i would have to maintain artistic freedom

In the summer of 2001 after high school graduation, Anthony headed to college in New Jersey. Not knowing a single soul he found him self home alone more often then not. It would be these days that would start Anthony's love for playing guitar. After abandoning college after a semister Anthony returned home to Virginia Beach, Va and started to work at a convenince store. Here on the lonely hours of the graveyard shift his writing began. After some encouragement from co-workers and friends Anthony began to record songs. Most of these early songs were covers of Dashboard Confessional songs, but it servered to build him confidence. Patch of Black is ready to emerge with its debut CD full length " trees grow out of the holes in peoples heads"
