I am a composer of instrumental world and acoustic rock music who combines african, asian and european instruments in order to create a completely new multicultural experience.
Why this name?
My music is a fusion of traditional music from all over the world with modern rock and pop music. I like to paint musical pictures of impressions from all over the world and Microworldscenery represents the name of the gallery for my musical exhibition.
Do you play live?
No, this is a pure homestudio project. However, I used to play in different rock and grunge bands and jammed with an african percussion group.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It is a revolution. Bedroomproducers get their chance to publish their music without the need of a major label. If we can get rich with that is another question but at least some people listen to our music and this is one of the main reasons for making music.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
This depends on the conditions. I don't want to compose on command but if I can keep my freedom maybe.
Band History:
Not too much history, just me.
Your influences?
My african friends, my environment, traditional chinese, african and south american music, grunge and rock.
Favorite spot?
Switzerland, a nice place for living.
Equipment used:
Godin semi-acoustic guitar, Fender Stratocaster, Rodriguez Classical guitar, Fenix Shortscale Bass, various percussion, Line6 UX1 for recording, various commercial and free Vst plugins, Fruity loops studio, Multitrackstudio.
Anything else...?
