My name is Boyle,I am a sound artist who grew up in Minneapolis,and currently reside in La Crosse WI ( Noise City USA). I have been sculpting sound since I was 8 years old. My latest CD " Raum Zeit" was in the Village Voice's critic's poll top ten of 2010. I record almost everyday ( Analog only...Thanks) and release recordings when I think of a cool reason to release it.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It has made music more available;rabid music fans are still buying traditional formats;however,the casual buyer is using an MP3.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
If the terms were right. I would need full control over the product and where the marketing dollars are spent. I think music is marketed poorly.

1974- 8 years old found the family reel to reel deck and started producing radio shows--Early multi track
Early 80s played in hair bands during high school continued recording silly tapes
1988 Concrete Jello--Experimental rock band. 1st releases of homemade recording were featured on 3 releases
1991-- Various musical projects both solo and ensemble
1998- 2001-- 212
2001-present --Released CDs and vinyl under the name Boyle and several others
