play lo-fi play hi-fi  Psychedelic Dream
We are Mumbai based Hardcore act Chaos Theory!
Why this name?
Chaos Theory is something which deals with strange and complex equations! Though we arent into those mathematical equivalents, our music is something which creates a "Chaotic" atmosphere in the crowd. Totally 'in-your-face' and heavy, Chaos Theory is something which is very much related to the music we play.
Do you play live?
Yeah, we normally play live at rock joints, college fests and at rock competitions. Special moments..ummm..yeah ..playing in front of a record 7000+ crowd at 'Independence Rock'03' !
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It is a platform wherein the bands can showcase their music to far flung places which is normally harder to reach through mouth to mouth communication or through advertising.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Well, if the contract is tempting, we wouldnt mind signing it. Feasibility is the key!
Band History:
Chaos Theory:
Prasad - Vocals
Shyam - Guitars, Backing Vocals
Sandeep - Guitars, Backing Vocals
Srinivas - Bass Guitars
Niraj - Drums and Percussion

January 2003 witnessed the rise of a band called Chaos Theory. Living up to their name, they have a reputation of creating chaos and disorder wherever they play. The outfit is one volatile mix of crunchy music doubled with an insane stage act, fit to drive the crowd in a mad frenzy.

Initially, they had to go through the usual ups and downs (Read: KTs, Band Name, Parents Line Up changes et al), but have always managed to come back with a renewed punch. They started off their crusade at “Stringed Sanity” at Sardar Patel College, where they took top honors and individual prizes for Vocals, Drums and Bass. Since then there has been no looking back. Their success stories include PIT, RAIT and numerous others where chaos has prevailed.

The turning point in the bands career was when they played at the prestigious “INDEPENDENCE ROCK” in August 2003, making them the youngest band (roughly 6 months old) to grace the stage. They are one of the biggest bands in the scene right now with a considerable and a loyal fan-base. Their originals too are something that can be a point of discussion all together. “Psychedelic Dream” being one of their most famous and loved song, the song is also featured in a “Metal Compilation” to be released by Kidanthrem Records, U.S.A.

The band, with its refreshed lineup is a treat to watch. Neeraj on drums and Srinivas on bass provide a powerful backing to the guitars (Shyam and Sandeep) and the vocals (Prasad). They look more focused at setting the stage on fire at this point of time than ever before. So come, be part of the Chaos.
