Why this name?
I chose the bands name from my own stage name and ideas in my head so people can understand the music and the sound thats coming out of the speaker.
Do you play live?
I do perform live on the turntables for the artist or group as well as keyboards. We play local open mics and college radio nights. During the fall we do the chitlin ritual of travelin' and promotin' our music.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
MP3 changes the music industry cause you get to hear alot of groups that are hungry in all kinds of music genres.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I would sign a record contract if I get to have full creative control over my artist or group as well as to have all of my publishing for my artist and group. I only need a major label for a worldwide distribution and video for my artist or group.
Band History:
All of the artist and emcees are from Central Jersey. There names are: Steady Roc, Agent Mugzy, 33 1/3, Nicholaus Sparks, Axl J. Foley, White Owl Bundy and Kice of Course. I have one artist from Brooklyn, N.Y. name Benny Smokes that you have to listen to hear the finest in N.Y.
Your influences?
I listen to everything except opera, country and pop music. My favorite artists are Stevie Wonder, Barry White, and Ray Charles. I respect the legends.
Favorite spot?
My favorite spot is the village on 6th Ave.& 9th St. Manhattan, New York which is Greys Papaya Hotdogs and Fat Beats Record store.
Equipment used:
I use a keyboard with a bunch of sounds, a drum machine, a digital 8-track, a sampler, etc. I don't mind fruityloops, cubase or protools. i just like the old school way.
