Chev Happy tries his best to fight his low attention span, stomach sickness and coursework to make songs on a battered laptop. He likes digital squeakery, weird synths, sodomised breakbeats and gentle clicks, all tampered with DSP stylee, but he also makes sure to retain pop sensibilities and produce well-rounded songs that take people places and are worth repeat listens.
Why this name?
The name evolved when i was a slack-faced tween.

Chev=Cheven=Stephen, filtered through a toddler with a speech impediment. It's a nickname used by people i like.

Happy= Refers to the fact that i was not the happiest looking kid in school. A nickname used by people i didn't like (those people are now either pleasant or widely acknowledged as twunks)
Do you play live?
Currently getting a show together. Dates will be posted as soon as i can work out how to play live.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Rather a lot. It renders the notion of paying £19.99 for an cd album absurd in most cases, but has had a healthy impact on overall music sales. It's nice that anyone can now be heard, but it does mean that everyone has to raise their own standards for what 'good' music sounds like. This is v. healthy and seems to force a lot of newer artists to try harder.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes, if it was a sound contract. They still provide the most exposure, and you can usually do independent stuff while signed.
