Why this name?
No idea why we chose this name. Mostly because the name 'Janthus' sounded cool, and that it needed a project.
Do you play live?
Not yet. But we will start to encroach on local open mics fairly soon.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think .mp3s give people the freedom to preview vast amounts of new music affordably.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I would, if given the ability to retain certain creative freedoms.

The band was formed recently in Portland, OR.
Your influences?
Some musical influences are: Dave Matthews Band, U2, Phil Collins, ColdPlay, Peter Gabriel, John Mayer, Sting, Police and others.
Favorite spot?
That serene space between my ears.
