The Real McKenzies are a Vancouver BC. based CELTIC PUNK band. Songs (or masterpieces, as the group calls them) include, "Scots Wha Ha'e," "Stone of Kings," and "Bastards."
The band is made up of six men donning kilts and sporrans and claiming to be entirely Scottish, while on stage if at no other time.
Formed in the year of our lord 1992, for reasons which to this day defy explanation, The Real McKenzies have played over 2500 shows, some of which they can actually remember! Constant, rigorous touring and an innate sense of always being in the wrong place at the wrong time has led to a "close encounter" with an unknown flying aircraft near an Arizona air-force base, disrobing female fans in Texas, three dislocated knees, one broken nose, 112 stitches, one night in jail, and guest appearances at distilleries of ill respute!
