How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The evolution of the mp3 allows signed and unsigned artist to major or independent labels to get international exposure. This type of exposure isn't someting a major label is always willing to give an artist. Major labels have a budget and control of how many records they want you to sell. So now it's up to the artist to market and promote an understand the marketing business and it makes good business men or women. You have more control of your exposure, and your career.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
