Why this name?
It chose us.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
What's obvious to us is that we would never have a chance to be heard if it wasn't for the internet. Our music is far too strange to be played anywhere but college or community radio. It also seems that there are now more live venues that will take a chance on unusual artists that receive this type of exposure.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
It's not likely that we would be offered one. Bearing that in mind, we'd take $60 million free and clear up front if someone wants to make an offer...
Band History:
There once was a prog-rock trio called Pentagon Trees that became a fairly mainstream pop-rock band called Anything That Moves. During recording sessions, the band members would jam to combat the boredom that set in from playing the same song for hours on end. What began as a little harmless fun in the studio turned into a full-time passion for exploring uncharted musical landscapes.

After 14 years together, The Price Beacons are about to release a series of compilation albums that will include selected tracks and short edits from their 19 StickyTape Records CD releases.

The band is currently searching for a new drummer and will return to recording and live dates sometime this year...
