I am a jazz guitarist based in North Carolina, USA.
I have performed around the world and have released six CDs.
Online ordering and sound samples of all tracks from each CD are available at my website:

NEW! Download CD Quality Mp3s of all my CDs
Similar to download services like iTunes, I have created an instant download store for all of my CDs (9 as of 12/04). Each track is 99c and you may buy entire CDs or simply the tracks you want.
Here on soundclick you can stream low rate (128kbps) Mp3s of some of my music. At my download store the Mp3s are all CD quality. Gradually I'll be adding a lot of live tracks and alt takes from the CDs, many as free downloads. Check it out at:

Do you play live?
I play jazz guitar professionally so yes, I play out live all the time. Most of the time I'm out in clubs and restaurants in the Triangle area of North Carolina. But I also do some traveling and have performed in Holland, Spain, Russia, Germany, and Switzerland. For the last five years I have been performing at the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland. (see picture to the right)
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It is so much easier for local-level musicians to be heard by people around the world. And it is so much easier hear other players who may not have the record deals or other means to otherwise have their music heard beyond their local audience.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Make an offer, we'll see.
Your influences?
I am most influenced by jazz musicians in whom I hear a strong and identifiable "voice". To me that doesn't neccessarily require innovation, but rather a distinctive sound so that you know who it is after one or two notes. Players like Monk, Sonny Rollins, Clifford Brown, Bill Evans, Dexter Gordon, Wes Montgomery, Kenny Burrell, Coleman Hawkins, Miles, Trane, Pat Metheny, etc, etc, etc....
I am also really inspired by some of the great younger guitar players I hear such as Kurt Rosenwinkle, Peter Bernstein, Russell Malone and Ben Monder.

Favorite spot?
Hard to choose, but I am particularly fond of the Swiss Riviera. I also have a soft spot for Indonesia. And though not as exotic, Chapel Hill NC is a pretty nice place to be too.
Equipment used:
My guitar is a 1997 Gibson L5 Wes Montgomery Model. It is the finest guitar I have played. I primarily play through an Evans TE model amp.
