Heath Houston is a songwriter first and foremost. Almost anything you hear on here is based on that aspect of my abilities. As a matter of fact it's the only aspect I consider to be developed to a point where I feel comfortable with it. I'm not an accomplished guitarist, drummer, bassplayer, or singer. I have aspirations, though. I still have a 15 year old kid air-guitaring to Mtv inside me somewhere who wants to be on a stage in front of 10,000 fans, but I'm really very humble at heart.

This page is just me and my songs... no one else. Maybe in the future I'll find some like minded individuals to form a band with. I wouldn't mind that. For now, though, it's just me expressing myself.

I write songs because I can't imagine not writing songs. I make music because it's part of who I am. I'm making music in my head most all of my waking hours and quite a few sleeping ones as well. I appreciate the feedback and listens that I have been fortunate enough to have been given. Thank you for visiting and feel free to drop me and e-mail if you have any questions.
Why this name?
After several attempts to identify myself as a "band" (a la Derek and the Dominoes and nine inch nails) I finally decided if I'm just writing and performing songs by myself I might as well just be identified by my own name.

Besides... my gorgeous fiancee says my name sounds like a rock star, so that's cool too.
Do you play live?
I used to a bit. Mostly just me, a guitar, and a microphone.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I don't think it does much. I think what it changes is the way artists work and it's gratifying to be able to share our musical visions, even in this small scope, with people across the globe. We may never be heard by anyone in the music industry, but we hear each other and that's something, at least.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
It's scary to imagine after watching all of those VH1 Behind The Music shows. Yes, I'd sign as long as a good lawyer looked the contract over.
Band History:
Pretty much just me trying to create music for years. I've never really had the money to try a studio out. I've rarely encountered people serious enough to form a group dependant band. I've onlt in the last two years had anything to record on that I thought sounded the slightest bit like something I'd want someone else to hear.
