Why this name?
badac is a nickname i picked up in middle school and it has stuck with me, and its how everyone knows me...so it just made sense that i'd call myself andy badac
Do you play live?
i play anywhere i can. i've played in New Jersey, pennsylvania, and massachusetts. i love playing live; i always get really into it. my favorite moments of shows are always during the quiet songs when it gets really quiet and i can see and feel everyone watching me.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
it helps...its self-promotion made simple.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
yes.
Band History:
this whole music project began when i was a freshman in college. for the first time in a few years, i was without a band of some kind. out of the need to write and make music somehow, i started writing just as a release of some kind. fifteen songs and a year and a half later, i finally decided to do something with my music, and decided to record a few songs. so far, i’ve made some good friends and some really good fans. i never expected anything to come from all of this. it was mostly for my own sanity, but if people continue to listen, i’ll continue to play for them. and after people stop listening, i’ll still be playing because i love it. and that’s where i am right now...
Your influences?
the new amsterdams, the beatles, saves the day, the get up kids, kind of like spitting, bright eyes, justin shorey, jeff martinez, charles bukowski (author), john francis, feeling left out
