I go by the BAND name of Ohmega Watts (haha) I'm a Producer/MC and I am also part of a band named Lightheaded!

I am also on an independant music label named: www.ubiquityrecords.com but without the .com!

Why this name?
My name evolved through time from Omega, to Ohmega Watts in a years time, from early '99 to mid 2000. I was in a group called the Transmiters, and buggin' out with one of the memebers on email, I threw out watts to my name, and he liked the ring of it, and so did others, but it also made sense to the group name, and it stuck! Nuff said...
Do you play live?
I play live with my group Lightheaded, all different places, LOVE it. Played with Zion I, Blueprint & Illogic, One Many Army, Lifesavas, Procussions, Quivah, and others. There has been plenty of special moments, when people are actually drawn closer to their purpose through the words and power behind our music. I keep Christ first and all other things follow. With that concept, it changes the way I look at JUST performing, but sharing myself with people, with real life issues. It's DOPE!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think people the world over, get to experience bedroom artists, and up and coming artists through the internet, and just opens the door to the world to share your music, views, and just good music.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I would, but it all depends on the label, I don't like many labels, people are shady... especially in the label business. Snakes!
Your influences?
Jazz, 70's Rock, Funk, Soul, 70's R&B.

Then Pete Rock, DJ Spinna, DITC, Quantic Soul Orchestra, Jaydee (j-dilla), Primo, DJ Shadow... too many to name.
Favorite spot?
Hmm.. tuff call! I love Portland, San Francisco, NYC the most for in the states. Then Toronto and Vancouver B.C. in Canada. Haven't been over seas yet, but looking to add London, and Japan to this list soon.
Equipment used:
MPC 2000, Dig in the crates, Motif6 keyboard, Roland VS-840, my vocal cords for some samples, and a bag of ingenuity.
Anything else...?
Peace to all who check out and dig my work. I know in life I can't please everyone, but I know there are peeps out there who dig what I do, and the music I create for listeners... is just good music, from bboy to lounge... I'm all bout it bout it! =)

Peace and blessings,
O.

Shout out time... To the Wax Reform Massive: Dela, Muneshine, Dminor, Illmind, Presto (Brainstorm), myself, and Mphazes.

Then shouts to crews and individuals putting out quality music: Quantic Soul Orchestra (Tru-thoughts), Ninjatune, Quannum Projects (All Memebers), Rjd2 (Soul Posistion), Spinna, J5, Diverse, Ugly Duckling, The Procussions, Illogic, Madlib, Oh No, (Stones Throw Camp) Breakestra, DJ Format, TM Juke, Bonobo, Jay-dilla, J-live, Jean Grae, Apani B, PUTS, Mark Farina's (Mushroom Jazz Series) Sirens Echo (Old Dominion Camp), Tony Stone, and my list goes on, you get the idea though.
