AnchondO was named after the lead guitarist who also writes the lyrics of the songs. The influence to make such a bold move was to follow in the footsteps of his mentors Stevie Ray Vaughn and Santana.

AnchondO IS a live band. Our hearts go into every live show that we play whether it be in front of 5 or 500. We feel at home dancing around and playing our hearts out to people who come to see us. The reason our fans ejoy our live show is because during the show we wear our hearts on our sleeves for people to see the passion that we put into every note, every chord, and every progression.
The special moments that we've had as a band are the times that we've gotten to open for big name acts such as: Course of Nature, Dishwalla, Convoy, SpearHead, and Header. Also we're going to have a show where we open for Lit and Handsome Devil. We've also had oppurtunities to play a huge show called Rockfest where we played with big names like Lifehouse, Tantric, 3 Doors Down and 7 Mary Three.

We would definately sign with a major label. There is no better way to get your music heard my masses then to have somebody backing you.

The funny story behind our band is that 3 out of 4 of the band our related. The bass player and the rythm guitarist are cousins, The rhythm guitarist and the lead guitarist are cousins, but, the bass player and the lead guitar player are not cousins. That fact that we're family and are all on the same page all the time enable us to reach our full creative peak when putting songs together. It's also enables us to feed off each others energy when we're on stage.

Each person in the band has there own personal influences which are way different from the others. Between everybody we influences anywhere between The Who and Pink Floyd to Sublime and Goldfinger. All together though helps give us our special blend of music. It's very unblended...our style of music consists of Latin/Reggae/Rock/Ska...you almost have to hear it before you can understand where we're coming from.

Our favorite spot on the earth is the stage. Any stage where we can play in front of people who are willing to have fun and appreciate good music.
