I am a solo artist, i write music and record alone mostly because it is easyer to record when i feel like it, than when i have time picked out. i dont like to feel rushed. and the less people there are the less trouble is bound to happen. i have been playing and writing music seriously since i was about 15, mainly as an outlet than anything else. more info and such at http://andykryst.daggas.net
Why this name?
the name actually came from the title of a song i wrote while in a different project, its a title that people describe me as actually. my friends often find it to fit me like a glove.
Do you play live?
i havnt played out in a few months, i have been taking a break, but will start playing out again soon. for a while i was mainly just playing in buffalo, but have played all over new york for fun with this project.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
i think personaly that both media types have done well for music. in regards to unsigned bands its done alot, i have been invited to play shows on mp3s alone. so that says something for me.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
i would, but the conditions would have to be to my liking. i would like to have some trust in the people i work with, or i would worry constanly.
Band History:
this is a rather new project so the history is short, but its also my second solo project. but like i said i have been writing and playing music for quite a while. but i have moved from buffalo,ny to ithaca, ny and plan to move back to buffalo as soon as the snow breaks.
Your influences?
post-punk biggest influences would have to be bands like joy division, the fall, the cure, old killing joke, the smiths, heavy bass with flanged out guitar...
Favorite spot?
my room is my favorite place. its where i record.
