"A.D.D. demonstrates a highly distinguished sound combining elements of heaviness and melody with rock-solid songwriting." - Chicagogigs.com
Why this name?
Originally, we we're going with the Attention Deficit Disorder meaning. But after finding alot of other bands around the U.S. using the same idea, we kept the name but use it as Analog Digital Digital. Basically describing our musical approach of a little bit of the old (Analog) with more of the new (Digital).
Do you play live?
Opened for 40 Below Summer, Unloco, & E-town Concrete and the show was just off the hook!!!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Great access for new and small bands like ourselves, but downloading is definitely affecting sales as well.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes, if the situation was right.
Band History:
Formed in April 2002, A.D.D. was assembled from the key components of various established Chicago bands. Dave Adams (Guitars/vox) and Ron Bailey (Drums/vox), teamed up with Margaret Young (Lead Vox), Randy Berg (Bass), and Jeremy Sparta (Guitar/Vox), to create a heavy, yet diversely melodic sound. Having penned a top 40 record with VIS@40 (#38 Album Network, Dec.2000), Adams and Bailey knew they we're a few key pieces away from being the band they had envisioned. With the addition of Young, Berg, and Sparta, all the pieces are in place for A.D.D. to be a vital force in the modern rock music world.
