Paranoid
We're a punk/ska band pretty much based out of Mtn. View, MO. We're an upbeat band determined to get our music out and have fun in the process.
Why this name?
We needed a band name for a local show and we knew a guy nick named Dumpster Dave. We used it.
Do you play live?
We are a live band. Our recorded songs don't do us justice. We like to play around in Springfield, MO and where ever we can.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It's all about the local music. There's enough local music to keep me busy for years.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Depends on if we get to change our sound too!
Band History:
We started out as a two peice playing in our high school band closet. We practiced up a few songs, then had our high school band director start playing bass for us at local shows. We needed more and asked an ex-band member to start playing with us. We started doing more and more shows and liking where things were going. So, we're still here. Music is our passion.
Your influences?
Blink 182, Rancid, Reel Big Fish, SRV, Victor Wooten, Husker Du, Madcap. We could go on and on.
Favorite spot?
Montier, MO.
Equipment used:
Pearl Export Series Kit with zildian zbt cymbals and pork pie thrown. Ibanez RG570 with a peavey head with mesa boogie tubes. American Fender Strat with a Ibanez SM7 through a Peavey 15" keyboard amp. Warwick thumb bass through through an SWR amp. We have drum mics too. Also vocal mics. We have cables. We have PA. Oh yeah. We have horns. Yeah, i'm getting lazy cause this sucks.
