I can tell you this much, 7th and ivory are not references to the piano.

We used to think it opened up artistic doors and means of distribution, but it's just another medium to be co-opted and manipulated by large companies. We just thought they weren't interested for a while, and that was stupid of us, wasn't it?

The question is more why would they want to sign us, but to answer the question, it depends on the contract.

7th with ivory has been making music since 1998. People come and often go. We've put out ten albums, and are almost finished with The Mind of an Insect in the Body of a Man, our eleventh.
