Benjamin La Flare is a producer from Newark, Ohio. Co-Founder of G13 Productions, Benjamin La Flare creates instrumentals for hip-hop, rap. Benjamin La Flare also produces music for Mcdouble With Kush, as well as a few other friends of his. His main interests are in the music production, and mixing/mastering area.
Why this name?
I chose Benjamin La Flare, because it's my first name, and "La Flare" because I listen to Gucci Mane.
Do you play live?
I do not play live at the moment. For now this is a studio project, I create hip hop beats and instrumentals for my own personal use, but I like producing for other bands, rappers.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It changes the music industry because they have to come up with new strategies of marketing to the people who want to download music, instead of buying cd's at the store...buy mp3's online for 99 cents, etc.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I am not sure at the moment.
Band History:
Started producing in 2006, keep on producing in the present.
Your influences?
Sublime, Slayer, Corrupted, Noothgrush. Mostly dark, down-tempo, metal bands with a mix of Lex Lugar, South side on the track, and RZA style instrumentals. Weird mix, but it blends in real nice
Favorite spot?
My favorite spot is where I can just sit and relax and smoke a blunt with out worrying about breaking the law
