Why this name?
We chose the name because we saw a news report in 1985 about morphic resonance. We liked the concept and the name fell into use in time.
Do you play live?
We play occasional gigs, when the members are available. Everyone plays in other bands so the gigs get slotted in between "normal" life.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
For the audience, there is more information. The record store visits the home. For the artist, there is, potentially, an unlimited audience.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Probably, if the signs were right.
Band History:
Morphic Resonators have been playing gigs and making music for ten years.
Your influences?
Songs with tunes, players with feel. Britpop, jazz, folk and western swing.
Favorite spot?
anywhere with green growing all around, close to water
