MC Pinnacle is the newest, rawest, freshest emcee to come out of the Sacramento area. Teamed with Spectone Productions [a hip hop production company originally based in NYC that was formed in 2001 by Carlos Taveras (Spec) and Jose' A. Benitez jr. (ToNE!)], this sick 19 year-old rapper is looking to infect his brand of sick lyrical wit over ToNE!'s bangin' beats to the hip hop community while delivering his message and making real hip hop heds feel an alternative new gritty sound that is very uncommon in today's very commercialized rhealm of "hip hop". Pinnacle comes in with a unique-soundin' voice that is complimented by his sick delivery and flow, and he does not sound like any other mc out there right now! ToNE!,(Head Producer and Co-ownwer of Spectone) discovered him in 1999 and together, they are ready to let the world know that the Pinnacle has reached his peak and is now comin at you, str8 gully & Street!

Why this name?
We wanted to have a name that described what he was preaching and at the same time a name that drove him closer to reaching the pinnacle of the rap game. Ultimatley, it was chosen by Pinnacle and decided that this was the perfect moniker to carry.
Do you play live?
Pinnacle has played locally at school rally's and get togethers in front of healthy hip hop crowds but the serious shows have not yet happened.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
For me, as Pinnacle's main producer, think mp3's are good in a sense that it allows independent producers like me to freely promote my artists and create an early buzz. Today's world revolves around the internet and it's a great promotional tool, i think.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
That's a goal i think every emcee wants to achieve, even the ones that are str8 underground.
Your influences?
Pinnacle's biggest influence is Canibus cuz when he heard Canibus spit his sick barrs on that Lost Boyz track, that pretty much made him want to go out and rap.
Favorite spot?
His is here in Cali, sactown...me, i say Uptown in NYC!!!
Equipment used:
So far, everything i use to make Pinnacle's shyt happen revolves around my MPC2000xl and Korg d-16 digital mixer, and Audio Technica 4033 studio mic, but we about to expand soon.
Anything else...?
Just listen to this kid rip the mic with an incredible delivery and tight lines. Pinnacle can say things that can be misinterpreted by some at 1st, but ya have to hear him and know what his about to appreciate and understand him fully.
