Just a guy in search of balance and harmony!!!
Band History:
I've been singing all of my life but started down the formal path in college when I joined an a cappella group. That's where I learned how to harmonize and quickly knew that I had found my passion.
After the college years I began taking voice lessons in LA with Suzanne Weiss-Morgen and eventually started singing back-up harmonies in a local band. After doing that for about a year and change, I felt the urge to do a little something different. As such, I joined a band as the lead vocalist, which allowed me to broaden my horizons.
Nowadays, I'm in a new band called Rusty Vega which is currently comprised of 4 people. We are working on a combination of originals and covers including some from my album titled “Slightly Chipped”. Your influences?
In reality, I tend to love songs not artists, but if I had to pick a few that I’m into now it would go as so: Tempations…David Ruffin sang with amazing passion; Matchbox 20…In my mind they define pop/rock; Boyz II Men….harmony, harmony harmony; Hall and Oates….catchy, catchy songs; Good Charlotte…hooky pop/punk with some serious drive; and last but certainly not least Michael Jackson....my first favorite artist and the best all around performer ever.
