I tend to like BANDWHORE as a band name, and actually have a bunch of sick songs written under that name. JimRossProjects, is nothing more than all of my projects/& lots of ideas... I have all these rough drafts of music I would like to redo more completely & thoroughly. I don't get paid for what I do, so I tend to leave rough edges & unfinished works "as-is". I generally like the "rough-edges" and feel they hold a truer character a lot of times. I mean really, what is perfect?

I'm playing guitar with CysticDysentery in Jacksonville Florida as of 2008. I'll do my 1st shows (4 shows) with these guys in March 08'. My previous band, Necropia, I did a few shows with up in Augusta, Maine. We also recorded a full length album that is in its final stages (fast brutal old school metal). I've also played live with bands like: Raping Babies, Eviscerated Zombie Tampon, Resin, The Vicky Andres Band, Cursed Ruin, Feast of Corpulent Decay, some various improv jams, etc...

It opens up a lot of doors for networking with people you generally would never run into. Plenty of obvious reasons...

If it seemed that it would actually HELP me, and not make my life more difficult than it already is! I don't care to be contractually bound to something I can't fulfill within my own means... But the funds, connections, and support..... would help considerably!!!
It seems like to attain the level of noteable help, you need to do all of the work yourself. Raise your status to a point where you are commonly recognized. Then once there, someone comes in and tries to harvest all of the rewards of your hard, long, painstaking work. It seems often times that its better just to "own your own farm, grow your own food, etc..." Feed yourself, with what you've grown & not give it all away to some cold corporate machine to sell. But an offer you can't refuse IS "an offer you can't refuse", eh?

I've jammed with a ton of people throughout the last 15 or so years. Jammed pretty much every style of music imagineable at some point. Music has been huge in my life for as long as I can remember.
I've been in a bunch of bands, and played shows with some sick metal bands mainly.
I've put alot of time into writing and recording full songs in various styles, performing and mixing all the parts myself. But I don't want to play shows with machines, so I am always trying to work with bands/musicians.

HAHAHAHAHAHA Life, & all of the experiences/ lessons it has to offer; is the main affecting influence... BUT:

Haven't got specifically one.... I don't think its a phsical spot as much as a mental spot. Depending on whats going on in your life at the time; the same place can be very cool, or completely suck! It depends on what you got/owe money-wise, who you are spending your time with, and what you are actually spending your time doing in the 'given' place.
Sparr bmx trails in Owosso, Michigan used to be a great place, but then they tore it up with bulldozers and put storage spaces there instead...ya know. :(
