Why this name?
Buck Shamus (pronounced sh + aim + us) was named after the Pink Floyd song Seamus (pronounced the same way) on the Meddle album. Buck was added because everything goes better with a good Buck!
Do you play live?
We play out live in the Triad area of North Carolina frequenting several different venues. We LOVE playing out - especially for the wild crowds!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It has allowed independent musicians to get noticed on a larger scale than ever before possible. Simply put, more exposure.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
It depends on the contract...
Band History:
The band was officially formed and started playing out in the beginning of 2001, but John and Craig had been playing together since 1995. We just slowly put all the pieces together and here we are.
