First to Last appeared in Houston, Texas in 2002. They have taken Houston by storm. Playing almost all the venues the city has to offer, and touring some. Young and talented First to Last has an orignial sound that has not been matched. Inoventive lead guitar parts, and heartfelt lyrics make this band need to be heard.
Why this name?
The band name was chosen after three other picks that failed. The name was always meant to mean something that is very open to interpretation. People think what they want it to mean.
Do you play live?
Yes, many live shows about 2-3 a week. WE play at too many venues to name them all. We love playing live, that is what we pride ourselves on. We love our live shows. The cd release for Mark Needs a Chick was memorable, it was the first sold out crowd we ever played for. Some of the craziest pits and crowd surfings any of us ever had seen until then, but 500 people in one small room was great.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I don't feel it's a bad thing, but it's a great and easy way for bands to get thier stuff out.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Oh hell yeah.
Band History:
It all started when bassist Chase Casillas came to us from Mcallen, Texas. Justin and Chris had always been jam session buddies together and they tried out Chase on bass and his unique style fit the part. First to Last had drummer problems for a while, they went through three drummers before finding Matt. Matt was the part they needed and the laid back guy they all came to love.
