Hi there, my names richard and ive been playing guitar now for about 15 years.

Used to play in a lot of bands but never really got anywhere. Too much of the lifestyle with too little of the work :)

now i just mess around in the spare room and play the occasional pub.

Why this name?

I play under the name Lord Overton as I come from the village of overton and always wanted the title but couldnt afford it.

Do you play live?

I randomly play live at local open mic nights as well as the occasional free form gig here and there.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?

I think the whole thing is still in its infancy. In the next few years that ability to operate as your own one man record label will come into its own

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

Yes and Id kiss ass to get it. Unlikely though as I refuse to cut my mistakes

Band History:

Played as a guitarist in a number of bands over the last 14 years. Never really got any where as always went for the lifestyle but had a lot of fun. Now jammin with others and myself wets me whistle

Favorite spot?

Kilpheder, South Uist. Hebrides.

im a folkie but do use a roland 505 and VS880. As well as cubase, cakewalk and Wavelab4
