This is an info page for heavy metal band Doom Theory. Doom Theory is a hard hitting all original heavy metal band with good grooves, killer solos and dark lyrics. Doom Theory has recorded two cd's "Evilution" (2001), and the brand new "Last of the Innocents" (2004), please check out the music section for some free music downloads, and feel free to make some contact we're always looking for new friends.
Why this name?
Just wanted a heavy sounding name, something that matched the mood, the music, and the lyrics.
Do you play live?
Yes, absolutely, all over the state of Ky., Cincinnati, etc., anywhere and everywhere to get the word of our music out.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It has drastically changed it by giving bands (like ours) a chance to reach an audience never possible before.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Depends. We say never say never.
Band History:
Formed in 2001. The new Doom Theory cd "Last of the Innocents" available Feb. 2004. The first cd "Evilution" was released in 2001..it is available from the main web site.
Your influences?
Musical influences include Black Sabbath, Danzig, Prong, Life Of Agony, Faith No More, Helmet, Metallica,Judas Priest, Motorhead, Alice in Chains, Ozzy,Queen, Motley Crue, The Cult, Sepultura, Biohazard ..80's pop....doom and gloom stuff.
Favorite spot?
Anywhere and everywhere we've played.
Equipment used:
we use the basics...drums, guitar, bass, and vocals. nothing more, nothing less. but pressed for brand names: Crate, Peavey, Jackson, Pearl, Aquarian,Zildjian, Digitech, Marlboro, and basically anything with liquor.
