AGIEL is a Rochester, NY based band. They have combined the best elements of black metal and death metal to create a style all their own. With such influences as Cradle Of Filth and Morbid Angel, AGIEL brings together intricate melodies, gut wrenching rhythyms, and extreme vocals to produce an overall terrorizing experience.
Do you play live?
We love playing live. It's the whole point of being a band: to bring great music to the people. Our first show almost turned out to be a disaster due to bands cancelling and really shitty weather, but in the end it all worked out.
If you make it big..?
We just want to get paid for doing what we love. We want this band to be our full-time job.
Band History:
Formed in 1997 by Mike Dillio and James Taylor. Rob Falkevitz Joined soon after, followed by Juan Perez.
As time went on, there were several different guitarists and bass players to go through the band. In late spring of 1999, Ed Holderle was selected as permanent guitarist.
The band then went into the studio to record The Works Of War, with Mike laying down bass tracks. Once the CD was finished, they went to their long-time friend and webmaster, Jon Zynda, for help with CD reproduction and designing the inlay. To make a long story short, Jon was soon after invited to join the band and complete the line up.
The band has since started playing local shows and hopes to eventually make it big.
Your influences?
AGIEL listens to various black metal and death metal groups like Cradle Of Filth, Morbid Angel, Cannibal Corpse, Emperor,... (this list could go on and on).
