With influences that are mostly punk, and traces of rock and indie, Aggro Tommy comes off hard hitting with emotion that lingers.
Why this name?
We choose Aggro Tommy cause it is a nick name of a friend of Sarah's and we thought that it just sounded like a band name, so we used it! (we had two other band names before that, long story...)
Do you play live?
We live to play live!!!!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think it definately makes music more accessible to people in places that you normally would not be able to reach, like we have a fan in rural England that found us on the internet and listened to our mp3s!
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
If it was the right contract we would sign with anyone!
Band History:
Built to last and dedicated to survive, Sarah Sandin (vocals, songwriter, also married to NOFX drummer Erik Sandin) has pulled together a combination of drive, passion, and balls with April Fresh (bass, former member of Sonic Unyon Record's band Tristan Psionic), Todd Lecuyer (guitar, NYC transplant) , Chris Webb (original No Doubt drummer), and former member of Nitro Records band One Hit Wonder), and Justin Barba (guitar, from 99 Cent Records band General Purpose).
Your influences?
April Fresh answers this one:
All things rock, and I don't just mean the kind of music, I mean people/bands who put their ALL into a project and don't stop until they've exhausted all the possiblities and inspired at least one person. for me some of these people are Angus Young (AC/DC) and Mary J. Blige (when she performs live, it is undeniably moving).
