Why this name?
One of my friends back in the day actually gave us the name for the band.
Do you play live?
We've played live in just about any club in Dallas and Fort Worth. Some of those clubs include The Curtain Club, The Galaxy Club, The Ridglea Theater, The Rock and Graffiti's
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
For unsigned artists, internet music is a great tool for them to get their music out to a larger audience... However, I strongly feel that the illegal piracy and/or file sharing of the music signed artists has become a serious issue, and has definitely weakened the ability for new artists on major labels to make money.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
That would definitely depend on the terms of the contract... We are currently considering larger independent labels for their reputations of allowing greater artist freedom
Band History:
Infestation has recorded four self produced albums, Dysfunctional, The I Promise Project, Full Circle, and One More Thing. Dysfunctional was recorded in 1999 and helped to define the band’s sound as heavy and driving. The more experimental The I Promise Project (2000) incorporated an almost all electronic sound, while still retaining the guitar driven sound of Dysfunctional.
An album created out of therapeutic necessity, Full Circle (2001) demonstrates a seamless fusion between the bone shattering effects of relentlessly mastered heavy metal riffs and an all encompassing sense of unreality provided by the technological electricity of hardcore industrial music. Lyrically poetic, a twisted, self depreciating motif runs through the course of this album. Songs of longing, guilt, lust, hate, and redemption weave the listener in and out of the mind of the sordid, desperate individual who is locked deep away within us all.
One More Thing (2002) is a four song EP which the band recorded at Patrick McGuire Studios in Arlington. Even though the album is considerably shorter from the previous discs, the songs are actually part of a bigger album that the band started recording in November of 2002. The upcoming album, Evolution will feature all the tracks from One More Thing as well as new versions of Dead Girl, Her Eyes, Fallen and Fantasy Girl from the Full Circle album. Evolution currently features 13 tracks, and the band is considering a few more to add to the final release. Evolution will be released sometime in 2004, and promises to be the strongest Infestation release to date.

Your influences?
We're influenced by a lot of different things... metal, industrial, trance, new wave... whatever. Some of our favorite groups include Fear Factory, Nine Inch Nails, Rammstein, Delerium, KMFDM and Orbital.
Favorite spot?
I want to play in Japan... the Japanese culture is fascinating to me, and one of my current goals is to play over there.
Equipment used:
My primary piece of gear is my Yamaha Rm1x... It's a great sequencer, as the menus are user friendly, and it's easy to get the thing to do what I want. I also use the following equipment: Yamaha CS2x synth, Yamaha S200 sampler, Korg D1200 Hard Drive Recorder, Sonic Foundry Acid 3.0 & Sound Forge 6.0, Steinberg Nuendo, Yamaha DG series guitar amps, Peavey power amps and guitar cabinets, DBX compressors, Sony Mini-Disc player, (for live use) Ibanez, Jackson, and Schecter guitars and basses, Alesis Drum Modules... well, that's some of it. There's a lot more missing from this list!
